«Neva’s verticals - 2013»: results
On January 9 in Saint-Petersburg finished all-Russian youth contest of rock climbing “Neva’s verticals – 2013”. In the first contest in this year took part more than 340 athletes from 26 country regions.
The best athlete was Anton Sviridov from Moscow – he was the only participant who won in one discipline (lead) and took second place in the other one (speed).
Two podiums took in their ‘active’ three young climbers – Leonid Surkis (Saint-Petersburg), Luiza Yemelieva (Yanao) and Maria Musienko (Krasnoyarskiy kray).
Made their marks five athletes - Dana Gilemkhanova, Victoria Meshkova (both from Sverdlovskaya oblast), Luiza Yemelieva, Elena Krasovskaya (Cheliabinskaya oblast), Irina Varik (Saint-Petersburg). They overcame three tracks (two for qualification and one final) in the lead.
In the team standings two first places (speed and double-event) were won by Saint-Petersburg. In the lead first place got Moscow.
Among “Neva’s verticals-2013” winners gold medals (excluding double-event) took Sergey Bidtayev (kaliningradskaya oblast), Victoria Meshkova, Danil Zakirov (Bashkortostan) and Anastasia Klochkova (Moscow).
Sergey Bidtaev achieved amazing result – he was the winner of this contest three times in a row – in 2011, 2012 and 2013!
Next all-Russian contest of rock-climbing takes place in Krasnoyarsk, on March, 1-7.
